An absolutely excellent primer for C programming. I taught myself from step one off of this book. Entertaining and educational, and the jokes mostly worked!
mostly helpful, but sometimes the tone of the book was overly comedic and lacked actual information, which was frustrating.

very simpliied book with many examples on every objective that makes it easy for every learner.
When I was a kid I read the heck out of this book. I remember writing source code on letter paper because I wasn't allowed near a computer to do it there. I wrote software and then typed it in at school when I could.

It was a strain putting up with all those bad jokes. But I persisted. If only it had been a film: If I hadn't walked out, I wouldn't have lost so much time. I tried to zip through it cursorily, but there were too many fifth-rate conundrums competing for pun status. I put my thorough review on Amazon -- I think -- it's not exactly art, either.
Great book for starting out. However, must be followed up by a lot of actual practice to really learn the language.
if only it did more on pointer and linked lists.

Steven Holzner, the author of Quantum Physics for Dummies, born in 1957, on 2nd of September. He graduated from MIT and got his PhD at Cornell. He remained faculty member in both the universities. He give lectures on Java. He is running a software house, teaching week-long to hundreds of students on Java programming. He sold around 108 books on computing, which he was awarded in regards. 2 million copy of his books translated in 23 several languages is an honor for him. He had been teaching XML for a long period of time. He also wrote other book in Dummies series like Physics for dummies, Physics essentials for dummies, Quantum Physics Workbook for dummies, Zoho for dummies, Ajax for dummies, and working on others. But remember these books are not for dummies as the name of this book indicates ‘Quantum Physics for Dummies’.

Quantum Physics for Dummies cover each and everything related to quantum physics of college level. It is quite for students interested in physics as well as chemistry. The most interesting note about the book is that it gives key points, remember notes and warning cautions which make it more interesting. It takes start with the atom, its nucleus, electron, proton, neutron, fermions, quarks, leptons, gluons, bosons, and other subatomic particles and their types. It discusses four general forces we know; strong, weak, electromagnetic, and gravitational force. It also discusses electrons behaves like particles as well as like wave. It talk about quantum leap (Max Planck’s spectrum), Wien’s formula, and Rayleigh-Jeans law. It resolves a problem that as if light is particle or wave by two experiments i.e. photo-electric effect and double-slit experiment. Compton Effect proving positron as an anti-electron. Going into the depth of particle physics the author in a lucid manner describes Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Then there is a complete domain of state vectors, matrix mechanics, Eigen values, Eigen-vectors in Part 2 of Quantum Physics for Dummies.

Part 3 deals with quantum mechanics. It work on angular momentum on quantum level. How angular momentum is solved with eigenstate and likewise with matrices. It is magical Quantum Physics for Dummies, but not really for dummies.

Part 4 involves multiple dimensions mostly in 3D. It implicates Schrodinger Equation in 3D whereas previously used this time-dependent equation to find wave function. Here using prior equation they a tries to understand Hydrogen atom. It is counted as an enormous success to describe electron structure using Pauli Exclusion Principle and Schrodinger’s equation.
